My game isn't working, can I have a refund?
Of course you can! However, first we’d love it if we could avoid that by getting your game working again.

Please read the rest of these FAQs to see if any of them can fix the issue, and failing that you can also email us directly to see if we can fix it. Please list what device you are playing on and what your issue is.

If you would still prefer a refund then we’re sad but understand. If you bought the game on iOS then please follow these instructions, however if you bought it on Android please get in touch with us, making sure you quote your Receipt number that you will have received via email.

My game froze, help!
We strive to make bug free games, however, we’re only human and we make mistakes. Sadly this means that sometimes you will hit issues such as this.

The best thing to do is simply close down your game fully ( don’t worry, progress will be automatically saved ) and then load it back up again.

If this doesn’t solve your issue, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to solve it.

Can I transfer my save to my new device?
That depends, what game are you playing? If the answer to that question is Forever Lost: Episode 1 or Forever Lost: Episode 2 then sadly the answer is “no”.

However, if you are playing any of our other adventures then the answer is “yes, sorta”.

You are able to Export your save file from the Load Game menu in Options. This will put your save file data in a transferrable format which you can then simply email to yourself so that you can Import it into a save slot in your new device.

It’s important to note though that any photos you’ve taken with the in-game Glitch Camera will not be transferred across.

My game won't load, what do I do?
Please get in touch, making sure to list your device and any error message you have been given, and we’ll do our best to solve it.
My game is going slow, what should I do?
We strive to make bug free games, however, we’re only human and we make mistakes. Sadly this means that sometimes your game will slow down as you play.

You’re in luck though, the best way to solve this is to simply close down your game fully ( don’t worry, progress will be automatically saved ) and then load it back up again.

My game has no sound?
Please ensure the sound level is set correctly both on the device and in the game options screen and also that the hardware mute button isn’t switched on.

Turning off sounds for notifications, i.e. Do Not Disturb modes, on some devices also mute games by default. Please ensure this setting is disabled when playing a game.

We will be putting up walkthroughs for our games on our site, but for the time being please visit AppUnwrapper.

I can't export my save in The Forgotten Room.
That’s not really a question, but I’ll answer it anyway. A solution to this has been found and has been submitted to the app stores, it should be available soon.

I've lost an inventory item in FL1 or FL2.
Sadly you may have hit, what we call in the industry, a bad bug. If you get in touch with us we’ll see what we can do.

I've lost an inventory item in another game.
The best thing to do here is to go to the Load Game menu in Options, select your save slot, hit Export in the top right, and then follow the instructions provided.

We should then be able to patch your save file and send it back so that you can import it and continue playing.

The clock puzzle is broken in Episode 1.
This is a very rare bug which is hard for us to reproduce, however there is now a work around in version 1.7.

If you hit this issue simply go to the scene with the two keys and tap the sign 10 times in a row. This will solve the puzzle for you via special magic.

I've lost the wooden draughts pieces in Episode 2.
This is a very rare bug which is hard for us to reproduce, however we’re looking for a fix currently.

Miscellaneous

I really like your games, what can I do to help?
Firstly, thank you very much for offering your help. You’ve already done more than enough by simply playing and enjoying the game!

However, if you really feel inclined to do more, the best thing to do is just to tell your friends about the game so that more people know about it. Please also consider leaving a review on the app store, they really help!

Who wrote the music for your games?
All of the music for our games, bar the soundtrack to Forever Lost: Episode 1, has been composed by the fantastic Richard J. Moir.
Can I buy the music to any of your games?
The soundtracks to both Episode 2 and Episode 3 are currently available to purchase on our itch.io page, no other OSTs are available at present..
Can I buy a Glitch t-shirt / hoodie / mug?
Currently we’re not selling any, we really want to but just not sure what the demand would be. If you would like us to do this then please let us know by getting in touch.

Developers

What engine do you use to make your games?
We use the Corona SDK from Corona Labs. Then on top of that we’ve created a framework called Serenity..
Will you release your Serenity framework?
We have considered it in the past, and still do to this day, however we have decided that the support it would require would take away too much time from our game development.
